  • Build and edit the outline of the show ensuring that all segments contain error-free copy, compelling graphics, and professionally cut tapes, including the show’s 2024 election coverage and the continuing fallout of the University of Idaho murder case

  • Revise copy and update expert guests for the show’s control room during breaking news coverage, including the mid-air collision above the Potomac River and 2025’s Inauguration Day

  • Write the episode descriptions and keywords for each upload of the TODAY podcast, which has more than 6,000 daily listeners.

Dateline Research Intern

My responsibilities included:

  • Pitched and worked with the assistant editorial team to research several episodes, including Season 32’s “Open Desert,” “Deadly Swap,” and “The Day Akia Disappeared.”

  • Monitored the tip line to and reviewed dozens of criminal justice and news reports daily to identify viable, actionable cases for possible production and shared them with producers.

  • Interviewed family members of victims in cold cases for Dateline’s stories which appeared on the website’s Cold Case Spotlight section.

My responsibilities included:

  • As the only student contributor, pitched and wrote stories for the biweekly newspaper published by Boston College for its faculty and staff covering campus news, events, and research, and professional highlights and success stories

  • Wrote profiles on notable alumni, the university’s impact on nearby communities, and extensive features on the dining department’s accolades

  • Author of front-page feature “BC’s Hidden Heroes

My responsibilities included:

  • Managed 20+ culture writers for the campus’s leading multi-media publication, which reached thousands of students each week.

  • Assigned, edited, and fact-checked 8 stories a week, covering campus controversies, film and tv reviews, and economic issues impacting students.

  • Wrote, researched and interviewed subjects for long-form features including “On American Unification After Tragedy” and “The FBI’s Response to the Nassar Scandal,” both of which increased website traffic from 68% to 87%

  • Founded "Behind the Bench," the paper’s flagship podcast that interviewed student reporters to learn more about the process behind their stories
